6 full years!
We try to get away every anniversary, even if just for the night, to recharge and reconnect. This year K surprised me with a local getaway that included a cool rental car, amazing flowers, a delicious meal, and plenty of rest! Someday I hope to go on a cruise or something a little bit longer for our anniversary, but so far in marriage I've either been pregnant or nursing on our anniversaries. This year was no exception. So while we could leave the kids, I didn't have much energy. Sleeping in a hotel with room service (for breakfast), a movie and a large jetted tub was a dream.
