Dean is enjoying his "schooling" and though we don't do it every day he's still learning a lot. Last week he read his very first "story" in his workbook. He likes to sound out the letters in signs and such that we see while we're out of the house. He doesn't always get them into words, but I am still pleased with his application of his lessons. That boy loves to read!
Jack started solid foods on Oct 10th. It was rather bittersweet for me as I can't believe he's already at this age. He of course loved the rice cereal and now knows exactly what his high chair is for. Once we put him in it we'd better have his food ready pdq! :) Yesterday we started sweet potatoes, which he did very well with too. He seems to just want to eat. Though today he did let me know in no uncertain terms that he did not want anymore solid foods and just wanted his milk. Jack is fairly mild mannered and tolerant of things, but when he has an opinion about something he will let you know and will not be swayed. Fortunately, he is so sweet and cute the majority of the time that his little fusses seem like small little blips. He loves to laugh and thinks being lifted above mommy's head is hysterical. I guess it's pretty obvious that he's stolen my heart. :P
Waiting expectantly!
All prepped and ready!
First bite of rice cereal!
(this was quite a chaotic picture as I was trying to feed and take a picture at the same time while both Abi and Jack are grabbing at the spoon so they can "help")
The second bite.. a little bit more controlled.
