September

September has flown by for us as we've gotten busy at church. We finally made the decision that we are here for now and that it was time to get plugged in to a local body of believers. We are back at Village Seven and enjoying getting to know people. I am involved in MOPS and women's Bible study. I love the opportunity to get together with other women/moms and have adult conversation. The kids love going to their "class" and thank Jesus for it and their teachers every night. It's providing a good balance for us as far as home activities and being out. As it works out right now we are out of the home every other day. I've also taken to going out one night a week either with friends or by myself to just decompress. I'm finding that I am a happier, healthier wife and mother when I have time to be something other then "Mama". Recharging my batteries like this has also given my motivation to pursue friendships and meet new people, which is given my life far more depth then before. I guess my point is that I am far nicer to be around now that I'm less of a hermit! ;)

I started a new exercise regimen this week. It consists of 10 min workouts every day. Who can't carve out 10 min, right? The website I found has all kinds of workouts to do. Some that don't even require equipment or a shower afterwards. Every other day you do 10 min of cardio. I'm able to complete these workouts, feel the pain of the work out, and not eat up a huge chunk of my day. It's fabulous. The weight loss probably will be slower, but hopefully more permanent this way!

Dean is now fully potty-trained including nights. He is doing very well and even has gotten over his fear of pooping! What a joy to have at least one out of diapers. Abi should be ready soon. I was wanting to start this next month, but I don't think it is fully clicking for her yet. One thing I learned with Dean is that it is so much easier to train when you wait for them to be ready and really get it. I'm so grateful to have only 2 in diapers that I'm not all that anxious about her.

October looks to be just as busy with lots of birthdays, our 5th anniversary, and more social events. We are having fun though and enjoying life and the people in it!

I know this isn't the greatest pic, but Dean was so cute in Kyle's backpacking hat. I just couldn't get him to hold still!

A rare moment when Jack is on his tummy but not crying...yet. He kind of looks like he's thinking "why are you taking a picture instead of picking me up??!"

That is EXACTLY what it looks like Jack is saying. :o) The picture of Dean is cute too! I am glad that you have figured out some "tricks" to make your life easier and more fun!
