The Fisk Five (+1): Two?

Happy Birthday Dean!

Today our little boy turned two. Every time we asked him how old he was he would reply "Two?" with his usual question inflection at the end. So cute!

We started the day with Dean's favorite breakfast, pancakes! Our morning was pretty much normal with folding clothes, making beds, etc. We then got Abi up early from her nap, packed a lunch and headed over to our friend's, the Stenickas, house for some fun in the sun. Dean loves to run around on their big green lawn. They had a huge wading pool out too and even though the weather wasn't really warm enough for water Dean got soaked! We had a fun 3 hours there and both kids wore themselves out! Dean didn't eat much lunch as was just too busy! I brought them home and while they both napped at the same time, I made cupcakes! Daddy came home early for work so that we could have an early supper so that Dean could play with his present. Dinner was a typical 2 year old's dream, hot dogs, fries, and broccoli (well maybe minus the broccoli). We gave Dean his present after dinner.... a new trike! It is designed to look and sound like a motorcycle. He loves it! He took it for a spin outside and of course cried like a banshee when it was time to come in. He didn't even want to get off of it to eat cupcakes intially. We managed to convince him though and boy did he love them.

It was a day and Dean seemed to love every minute. I can hardly believe it's already been two years! What a joy and delight those two years with him have been, minus a few rough days here and there. :)
