We started school with D and A last week. Because of a variety of events we only got 2 out of 3 days in, but I figure a slow start is best. They love to sit and learn letters, numbers, sing songs, etc. I am quickly learning how they learn and their personalities as well. D is easily discouraged and needs breaks often to help him refocus, especially when working on handwriting. He read his first Hooked on Phonics book today all by himself, so we are getting somewhere. It is fun to come up with activities that connect them back to the letter and number of the week, but I find that we get through them quickly and only do about an hour's worth of school a day. I suppose though for a 4 and 3 year old that's plenty. :)
