Just life

Dean is about 60% potty-trained. He's doing really well with pee, but has become deathly afraid of poop. He knows that he's not supposed to go in his pants, but is equally afraid of going in the potty. So it usually ends up on the floor (sorry, perhaps thats TMI). Any suggestions on how to get him to overcome this fear would be fabulous. Otherwise it really is going well and it's so nice to not have three in diapers. Once Dean is 100% trained then we will start with Abi. She is already so anxious to go but hasn't quite grasped the concept of what she's supposed to do on the potty. Soon though! :) Having only one in diapers will seem like a breeze.

We are busy rearranging our house again as it seems we won't be moving for awhile. There are lots of boxes to unpack and things to put away. None of it all that important (we've lived without it for this long), but still nice to have and helps me feel settled. Part of the rearranging is putting Dean in a twin bed. We are looking at borrowing my old bunk bed set from my mom for him and Jack (someday). He loves having the box springs and mattress on the floor right now though and we even got him his own "big boy" bed set. He chose "Cars"! Abi will soon be graduating to a toddler bed as she climbed out of her crib last week and fell. I wish I could keep her contained longer, but I don't think it will be possible. That girl is truly something else.

We are not sending Dean to pre-school this fall, but I did pick up a Hooked on Phonics curriculum off ebay for less then 25% of retail!! Dean has got his letters, numbers, colors and shapes down, so I figure the next step is to learn to read. This will also be a good trial run for me as to how well I will do with homeschooling. :) I'm a little nervous about my patience (or lack thereof) with teaching!

Jack rolled over for the first time last week. He rolled from back to front. He did get his arm stuck so wasn't too happy to be in that position, but is getting so good at moving himself around. I can't believe he's already moving. Where have the last 3 months gone!? I will say though that I am glad that he is older and can sleep through the night so well. He lays down around 8pm or so and sleeps till 6 or 6:30 am. I find that I'm getting so much more done these days now that I'm rested. Amazing! ;)

Abi after "putting on makeup" with a marker off mommy's desk. Does the fact that I took the picture first, diminish the effect of the discipline?:)

Sweet baby having tummy time!

My big 3 year old.

All three.

Jack truly has the best smiles of all three of my babies!

Enough pictures Mom!

Dean is such a poser sometimes. :)

Awww, I love the pictures! Go Dean Go! Once he's got the poop mastered, no more worries! :) So you've decided to stay in CS and not move to Denver? Is that for right now, or for the future as well? Do you guys drive up to Denver for church every Sunday? (Just wondering, since right now we'll be based back in the Springs too, and not Denver.) Looking forward to seeing you when we get there. (should be in Oct. sometime....that's our goal anyway!)
