This year I decided that it was high time that I plan an outing for my husband and I. He always plans our dates and getaways and does an amazing job. I was feeling guilty for always being on the receiving end and though I am extremely intimidated by his creativity and thoughtfulness, I knew I had to give it a try. I thought through all of the things I knew he loved and tried to incorporate them into the evening. I took Kyle out to the Blue Star. Super fabulous!! It was an amazing meal with great service. We're definitely going back. We had a good time talking, laughing, and just being together. I gave Kyle a nice card with a list of all the reasons I love him and some cash to add to our vacation fund. We've decided that in lieu of gifts this year we will just contribute the money to our fund so we can have a blast come October!
I didn't do much with the kids, honestly. I didn't do much as a kid myself and so really didn't think about it. Maybe next year we can do something and maybe by then Dean will be into crafts enough to enjoy making valentines or cookies or something. Right now it would be a waste of time. We did go over to a friend's house for a play date and ended up being the only ones who showed. Dean had fun playing around little Naomi, but of course he never played with her. :)

What a fun date! What are the vacation plans for Oct?
Some place warm with water. Kyle can't decide between Hawaii, Mexico or the Caribbean. He's planning this one as I planned a lot of our Honeymoon. :)
