Well, Dean still isn't potty trained, but we do sit him on his potty 3-4 times a day. According to what I've read he probably isn't quite ready to be trained, as he can't keep his diaper dry or clean for even two hours yet. I figure letting him sit on the potty and not being afraid of it isn't hurting anything though. He actually loves it, so I don't want to lose that!
I've already read two books this month and am on my third. I am realizing though that I can't just read easy novels all the time. In order to really keep my mind sharp, I'm going to have to read something a little more "heady". So I guess I need to change my goal to be to read one "heady" book and one novel a month.
My birthday present from my husband was an envelope with $50 in it. Our plan is to start saving a little each month and from each upcoming "gift giving" holiday (i.e. Valentine's, Mother's Day, etc)towards a nice vacation for the two of us. We would like to get away for at least a long weekend over our anniversary and hopefully to some place warm, which right now sounds heavenly! So I believe I'm quite a ways down the road to goal number 5!
I haven't started any home improvement projects yet, but have a great plan for my dining room. Of course it costs some money, but not too much. Still it's something that will have to wait for now. I'll probably be able to do more of these things when the weather warms up in a few months.
And lastly the dreaded, but oh so needed, diet. So far I've lost 8 lbs! Not bad for 16 days of work. I've reached my first sub-goal (I need all the motivation I can get!) of losing all my "baby fat". I am now where I was before I got pregnant with Dean. My next goal (a mere 9 lbs away) is to be at my wedding day weight! I figure if I set smaller goals I won't get quite so overwhelmed with all 47 lbs left to lose. I hope to make my next goal by Valentine's Day. I am starting to slowly integrate the elliptical back into my daily life so as to keep my weight from plateauing.
So that's how things stand for now. Overall I am pleased with the progress I've made! Now to just keep going.
