Happy New Year, 2008!

Wow! I can't believe it's already 2008. What an interesting year 2007 was. We started the year reeling from all the events at the end of 2006. Much of 2007 was spent trying to figure out our future plans and planning for baby #2. I completed my nursing career and truly settled into being mom. It seems that after I quit my job I was busy preparing for Abi's arrival and then after she was born we were thrown right into the holiday season. Therefore I don't feel as if I've had a chance to establish a norm. I am excited just to see what that will look like and all the many changes that we will witness in our children this year.

I don't believe in resolutions as they require a complete and total change on day one. Goals instead can be worked on throughout the year and allow for some "down" days. Here are my goals for 2008:

1. Lose 50 lbs and get in shape
2. Potty train Dean
3. Read two books a month
4. Do more home improvement projects
5. Take a vacation with my husband.

I hope that 2008 is better, more exciting and full of the presence of God for all of you! Happy New Year!
