Spring Itch!
Spring is definitely in the air and I can feel my home improvement "bug" stirring. I am usually pretty good at keeping it dormant all winter as the weather just isn't warm enough to start and finish a project. Yet once the weather starts getting balmy and we have more then one day in a row of beautiful Colorado sunshine that old itch reawakens and I start looking around my house/property and making a list of all the things I want to do. Unfortunately, most, if not all, of my projects take money; some more then others. So my challenge this spring/summer is to find ways to improve the beauty of my home without breaking the bank. If anyone has any good ideas that they've heard about or done, I'm all ears. I get some weird sort of satisfaction and contentment in improving my home! :) I think I will start with preparing my "garden" for spring. Fortunately all that requires is some elbow grease and a $5 bag of garden soil!

Yay! I love spring! But, unfortunately I'm on opposite seasons now, so I'm a little messed up. It's now fall here. It'll take me a few years to get used to the opposites, I think.
I was going to suggest fresh plants indoors and outdoors, but it sounds like you've already got that covered. I LOVE beautiful flowers outside my house. You can find really cheap pots at yard sales, then re-paint them a fun color, or decorate them a bit.
Also a good spring cleaning always helps freshen up the house without a whole lot of money. While you're cleaning re-arrange the furniture, or re-arrange the pictures on the walls and put new pics in them. Reorganizing always feels "fresh" to me.
New paint is always a pretty inexpensive way to fix-up a room too. Of course I have it easy with professional painter as a husband. :)
Take pics of what you do and let us know how it goes! (I'm living vicariously through you and your home since I don't have one at the moment.) :)
Find a quality landscaper and get that front yard finished up! Then you can putter around and keep it all looking brand new!
Wait, that costs money =) Too bad landscapers charge so much ;-)
Question for ya.....Where/how do you get all the cool colors and designs for your blog? I have no idea how to change the design of my blog and I'd like to. Thanks for your help!
