Read and remember.

Abi had her 1 month check-up today and is doing well. I don't think she will be setting any growth records like her big brother, but she is still healthy. Today she is 8 lbs 11 ozs and 20.5 in long. I think she looks better with a little "meat" on her. She looks less frail. She has a good case of baby acne and though we could put cortizone cream on it to make it go away, I really don't see the need to as it's not hurting anything. It should be all gone by Christmas anyway. Abi is doing better and better with her routine. She still sometimes struggles to go to sleep at naptime, but is doing great at night. I'm betting that when she hits 7 weeks old she'll sleep through the night easily as I'm already having to wake her after 5 hours to eat.

Dean is roaming everywhere and loves the independence of walking. Occasionally he will get over confident and take a spill, but he is learning to fall well and not go into hysterics about it. He has also learned how to sign both please and thank you and truly thinks that they are "magic words". It's hard to explain to a 17 month old that just because he uses polite "words" doesn't mean he gets whatever he wants. It is sweet to see him communicating so well though. He's added bye-bye, the end, book, ball, and thank you to his vocabulary. It's amazing to me that just a year ago he was a wee little thing that could only lay there and coo. How fast the changes occur. I'm glad I have this blog and a journal to go back, read, and remember!
