Outings

So this is my third time trying to post here. It seems everytime I go to publish or save I lose everything and by that point I'm all "talked" out and don't feel like re-typing it. Hopefully it works this time.

I have gotten braver about going out with the two little ones. I just have to limit what I do and not plan on getting anything else done for a few hours. Today I took them to the library. We needed an outing and since the weather is getting cooler and Dean has had a stuffy nose I thought that this was a good option. We ran into an acquaintance from church who works in the children's section of the library and even though they didn't have Toddler Time today (it's on Tuesdays at the downtown branch) he sat down and read Dean a few books. Dean was a little distracted but I so appreciated Brett's thoughtfulness. I did find out that they have started Baby Time now too, which is on Mondays. It's a cute idea but I think we'll have to stick with Toddler Time for Dean's sake. I think he'd be too disruptive in Baby Time. After Dean played for awhile and demonstrated multiple times that his stranger anxiety can be turned off at will by crawling away from me, I picked out a few books for myself and we headed home. I have found that I am more patient with Abi's breastfeeding if I'm occupied while she's nursing. Especially in the middle of the night. So I figured I'd join the Adult Reading Program and read while she nurses.

Dean has yet to seem interested in holding Abi. He likes to keep some distance!
